CGOV Foundation

In 2006 CGOV formed the CGOV Foundation as an arms-length charitable organization which could be used for CGOV private clients to engage in philanthropy. The Foundation was created in response to clients expressing their desire to not pass down a large amount of wealth to their children, as they would rather pass down their values so their children could create their own successes. Engaging in philanthropy with their children is one effective way of passing down values.

The CGOV Foundation directors actively research impactful granting projects to share with clients, conduct due diligence and report to clients about each projects' progress. The CGOV partners’ charitable donations are also invested alongside our clients'.

With the elimination of any capital gains on donating appreciated securities, more and more families are looking to donate more money to charities and CGOV's partners and clients are participating in these benefits.
